Brazilian Association of Automation for Trade - was created to represent the interests of manufacturers, software-houses and distribution channels of the sector and annually performs AUTOCOM, the main event of automation for trade throughout Latin America.
Today, we cover manufacturers of automation and peripheral equipment, software-houses, distributors and resellers, paper supply companies and automatic data collection and radio frequency (AIDC / RFID), mobility, payment means, startups, digital certification, in addition to the retail trade.
Maintained and managed by associated companies, the first management was Enrico Castellano in the biennium 1987 - 1989. Castellano was re-elected for two more terms, followed by Ricardo Queiróz, Mário Hamada Takahashi and Letícia A.S. Blotta. Other four presidents have been at the head of AFRAC for one or two terms between 1998 and 2016: Múcio Álvaro Doria, Wolney E. G. Betiol, Antonio Di Gianni and Araquen Pagotto.
